BRASS & gold wedding bands & RING

“The band design, making use of gold at its centre and base symbolises the never-changing spiritual principles that lie at the heart of our marriage. Principles such as truthfulness, trustworthiness, sincerity, godliness, purity, kindness, joy and radiance. The brass which fills both sides protects the gold from the changes and chances of the world while also organically adapting to it through the process of oxidisation. Over the years the experience of our marriage will show itself in the brass which will also allow the spiritual gold core become more distinct and noticeable.

At one point the gold rises up above the brass into a sinusoidal wave. While also capturing the letter "N" which is the first letter of both our names, feeling the texture of this peak and trough on our skin will remind us of the spiritual truth of crisis and victory. That life will always have its ups and it's down but that each will pass and we must never become to attached.

Lastly, principles that we aimed to capture in the design was that of simplicity, elegance, while avoiding "vaunting ourselves over the poor". So that what we have never becomes a distraction or a veil between us and reaching out to others, and we never become overly attached to any particular material possession.”
