This piece is a recreation of Mies van der Rohe’s concept for the Brick Country House. The elevation and plan drawings have been superimposed. Where the walls in the plan sketch extends to the edge of the paper, implying a sense of infinity, so too do the corresponding painted blocks extend from the “canvas” to the edge of the wall, ceiling, and floor.
